The Schaffer Corporation is a publicly listed Australian company with a diverse portfolio of building products, automotive leather and property. The company hired DogHouse to refresh its website in order to better present and represent its brand, image and operations. The company also wanted a way to better share relevant documentation with site visitors.

To immediately capture the attention of users, the site leverages multi-directional, image-based Flash animation at the top of the screen. The image itself includes a highway scene featuring zooming flashes of light to convey precision, movement and growth.

For the overall site design itself, we set out to develop a simple website that clearly conveyed the company’s core business holdings and created a look and feel that represented an ever-evolving company.

The website was built using Joomla, a leading open source Content Management System, which enabled Schaffer Corp. staff to easily add and edit website content as well as upload annual reports, ASX announcements, etc. All content is made immediately available for public download. The intelligent document server allows the site administrator to push important content to the home page. This keeps highly sought after documentation only one click away from any potential investor.
